Lake Okareka Fire Station Rotorua

The new Fire Station in the Bay of Plenty festively reopened in March 2021.

The previous fire depot had been old and too small for its purpose, whereas the new station provides the brigade with kitchen & training facilities, a meeting room and additional space for three vehicles.

ACO has been involved in the project, supplying 22m of its Qmax350, to manage the surface water at the forecourt. The system was required for both conveyance and capture whilst conforming to a specific depth, meeting the requirements of the project. Certified to Load Class G, ACO’s Qmax can easily handle the high loads of fire vehicles crossing over.
